Workshops and Retreats

Permission To Play Away, an exciting workshop featuring a weekend of Creative P Great work lay and Self Expression. Join me and artist, Kris Kollasch, as we lead you through relaxation, adventure and expression through movement, writing and art making. Permission To Play Away, a 3 day workshop in magical Sedona! March 12, 13 and 14, 2010 at beautiful Los Abrigados Resort & Spa. We will meet for lunch on Friday March 12 as we begin a journey of self discovery celebrating the unique spirit that is YOU! $395 includes 3 days of fun including your welcome lunch, breakfasts, snacks and happy hour as well as art instruction from two amazing artists all your art supplies and a picnic lunch on Saturday. Your lodging is extra and we have a group discount if you wish to stay at Los Abrigados.

Classes

I'm offering 2 six week watercolor courses at the Sunnyslope Community Center. Mondays and Tuesdays, 1-3 PM, beginning April5 & 6, each $60. Tuesday is a class on Adding People and Perspective to create compelling paintings. Tuesday is an intermediate class where you explore different techniques and materials. www.phoenix.gov/parks, 602-262-6661. Just call and they'll walk you through the online registration.

I'll continue my community efforts by teaching at Terraces of Phoenix and volunteering as a mentor for Free Arts of Arizona, www.freeartsaz.org, 602-258-8100.

I'm again teaching the Youth Academy at Scottsdale Artists' School. 3720 N Marshall Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. We have a Saturday Art Class & Open Studio for kids and teens, 9 AM-noon. It's an incredible multimedia fine art program taught by professional artists. Our program this summer is better than ever!

If you're ready to take your art to the next level . . . I am currently accepting a few students for private lessons. The lessons are two hours in my studio and are $75 a week available in a block of four for $300. Beginner or Intermediate and children 12 and above.
