Desert Springtime

This plein air piece is painted just a few miles from my home at Piestewa Peak in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. This is my go to place to hike and get rid of all stress and this was my first paint outing after Covid-19 changed our lives. The spring colors were lovely and the cloudy sky and late afternoon sun called out to me and begged to be painted. Creating this really soothed my soul.  This 8 x 10 oil is on linen panel.
