Canyon Lake 2

This dramatic oil painting was painted en plein air (on location) at Canyon Lake, which if the prettiest urban lake in the Phoenix area. It’s just beyond the Superstition Mountains and although close by, you must navigate hairpin turns and a single lane bridge to arrive.  This is painted on linen stretched onto a gatorboard and measures 10 x 20.
