Picacho Peak

This plein air piece is painted just about an hour south of Phoenix at Picacho Peak  State Park. This is a great place to hike and get rid of all stress and this was one of my first paint outings after Covid-19 changed our lives. The early morning sun lit up the trees in sharp contrast to the little black mountain which called out to me and begged to be painted. Creating this really soothed my soul.  This 8 x 10 oil is on linen panel.
