Watercolor Class
Saturated Wet Watercolor April 15
This method is perfect for koi fish and flowers as they have soft edges. The saturated wet paper allows easy lifting, gives soft edges, and maintains a unified background. Students will focus on using a variety of values and winning design principles to create a compelling composition. This one-day workshop will give you a real sense of this method as timing is extremely important. The results are stunning with rich, vibrant colors.

PAPA Workshop
What an amazing experience I just had with Plein Air Painters of America through Scottsdale Artists’ School. It consisted of a one day lecture followed by 4 days in the field with four PAPA instructors at McDowell Mountain Regional Park and then 3 days of painting in the Vermillion Cliffs with other Plein air painters.
I can’t explain the pure joy I feel when painting outdoors in stunning places with a tribe of like-minded souls, definitely my happy place.
We just have about 2 hours painting Plein air before the light changes dramatically so most of us try to capture the colors and light leaving the details working small and quickly. It’s exhilarating!
I’m polishing these up with others and will be offering them at my spring events. Hope to see you!
